Cadrys and GoodWeave

May 20, 2015 by CADRYS

The creation of a hand knotted rug requires great skill and artistic craftsmanship.  Many of the pieces in Cadrys contemporary collection have been hand knotted by skilled artisans in Nepal.

The recent earthquakes have been devastating to the communities of Nepal. We at Cadrys know this first hand as many of our friends and business partners have been personally affected.

The Cadry family take great pride in working together with the best quality weaving houses and looms in Nepal, all of whom participate with the GoodWeave® Foundation.

Cadrys’ partnership with GoodWeave gives their customers peace of mind that no child labour is used in the making of their beautiful rugs, and that fair and ethical work environments are maintained.

In the wake of the recent earthquakes our partnership has become all the more important. Through GoodWeave’s Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund it is possible to reach the thousands of victims with critical services, such as rescue and rehabilitation, livelihood development and education.

GoodWeave is working to reach its community of beneficiaries with support to help recover and rebuild after the devastating impact of both these earthquakes.
