Tribal
Tribal rugs tend to be loosely woven and possess an
earthy and primitive charm. The weavers of these rugs have a very limited
palette of colours to work with. Tribal weavers do not have a strong
pre-conceived idea about what the rug will look like when finished. They get
inspiration and base design idea from traditional motifs woven by their
ancestors, as well as drawing from their surroundings. Their appeal is in their
simplicity and although the designs are incredibly old, they fit well in a
modern, uncluttered space because of their simple geometrics and colour.
