ANTIQUE PERSIAN GABBEH

Gabbeh rugs originate from nomadic Qashgai and Luri tribes. Woven with exceptionally thick, hand-spun wool and deep plush pile, they are among the most tactile and durable Persian weavings. Minimalist compositions — expansive colour fields punctuated by small symbolic motifs — anticipate modern abstraction. Antique tribal Gabbehs are rare and culturally significant.
